Luna Alpina, the latest premium vodka packaging project from Kazakhstani designer Arman Auzhanov, has been awarded the prestigious Silver A' Packaging Design Award for 2025. Drawing inspiration from the moon as a universal archetype, Auzhanov has crafted a visual and tactile experience that stands out on shelves and resonates with consumers both locally and globally. The design journey began in December 2021 in Minsk and concluded in December 2023 in Shymkent, culminating in a product that merges cultural relevance with international appeal.

The Luna Alpina bottle features debossed lunar craters and a label crafted from a velvet-effect material embedded with millions of glittering crystals, evoking the dynamic image of a starry sky. Advanced technologies, such as a deep lens Fresnel for a voluminous iridescent moon effect, hot foil, and Braille glossy varnish glowing under ultraviolet light, elevate the packaging's futuristic aesthetic. The transparent T-shaped closure and slightly tinted glass further contribute to the premium image, while the gift packaging combines matte plastic and metal for a mysterious, space-inspired presentation.

Luna Alpina's unique selling propositions are both emotional and rational: the vodka is produced in accordance with the phases of the moon and filtered using moonstone, reinforcing its "sky vodka" identity. The design's innovation addresses the challenge of differentiation in the highly competitive vodka market, targeting Generation Y consumers who are drawn to mystical and authentic narratives. The result is a packaging solution that not only attracts attention but also invites interaction, encouraging customers to engage with the product and its story.
