"Eye" Wedding Ceremony: An Artistic, Immersive Celebration of Love and Memory in Suzhou's Ancient City

Suzhou Huali Cultural Media Co., Ltd has received the Iron A' Design Award 2025 for its innovative "Eye" wedding ceremony design, a project that transforms the traditional wedding experience into an emotionally charged, interactive event. Inspired by the moment the bridegroom fell in love with the bride at first sight, the "Eye" ceremony uses artistic installations and thoughtful spatial arrangements to recreate and celebrate that unforgettable connection. The event was staged within a 2,500-year-old ancient city in Suzhou, symbolizing the couple's enduring love amid a setting rich with history and meaning.

The "Eye" installation is distinguished by its use of separable sprayed ironwork, forming a striking three-dimensional eye shape visible from multiple perspectives. The pupil, crafted from special-shaped, wave-like spangles, shimmers under sunlight, adding a vivid and dynamic focal point to the ceremony. Surrounding the installation, artificial floral decorations in deep and light blue tones evoke romance and mystery, while their recyclable nature underscores the project's commitment to sustainability and long-lasting love. The guest seating encircles the couple, echoing the eye motif and allowing guests to witness the ceremony from all angles, enhancing interactivity and emotional resonance.

This design emerged from extensive research into the evolving preferences of modern couples, who increasingly seek customized, meaningful wedding experiences. By focusing on the theme of the "eye"-a symbol of the groom's instant attraction-the ceremony becomes a living narrative of the couple's love story, shared with every guest. Overcoming challenges in creating an immersive and visually impactful environment, the design team, led by Li An, leveraged innovative materials and spatial concepts to deliver a memorable, eco-friendly celebration that bridges tradition and contemporary artistry.
