Cedea's Award-Winning Glass Bottle Captures the Spirit and Beauty of the Dolomites Through Design

Cedea, Dolomites' Luxury Mineral Water, has achieved international recognition by winning the Silver A' Packaging Design Award in 2019. Designed by Nick Pitscheider and Sharon Hassan, the Cedea bottle stands out for its innovative approach to luxury packaging, drawing inspiration from the ancient Ladin legends and the breathtaking Enrosadira light phenomenon unique to the Dolomite mountains. The bottle's design aims to evoke the magical glow of the mountains at sunrise and sunset, capturing both the natural beauty and cultural heritage of the region.

The Cedea bottle is crafted exclusively from first-class white glass, featuring a tall, smooth silhouette with a thick, color-varnished base sculpted with the Cedea rose symbol. This unique bottom creates a vibrant glare effect, with light refracting through the water to produce dynamic color shifts reminiscent of the Dolomites' rose-red and turquoise hues. The bottle's three engraved, twisting vertical lines ensure a delicately asymmetric, natural shape, making each bottle a visual centerpiece. Available in both still and sparkling varieties, the bottles come in two sizes-750ml and 375ml-each distinguished by its signature color and elegant aluminum cap.

The realization of the Cedea bottle required overcoming significant technical and creative challenges, including developing a shape that could only be produced by a single Italian glassmaker and perfecting the interplay of light and water within the bottle. Extensive research and prototyping ensured that the final design not only met the highest standards of luxury and exclusivity but also authentically represented the values of purity, beauty, and lifestyle associated with the Dolomites.
