Pure App Interface Design: A New Eco-Friendly Fitness Trend

Jiaying Zhu's Pure App Interface Design, aimed at promoting an eco-friendly fitness trend known as plogging, has been awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Mobile Technologies, Applications, and Software Design category. The Pure App is designed to guide users in combining jogging and litter picking, offering features such as individual and team plogging, field activities, a healthy lifestyle, an online eco-mall, and user profiles.

The app, designed for the iOS system, provides detailed guidance on plogging routes, trash can locations, distance, speed, and calories. It also tracks litter collection and suggests the appropriate sorting methods. Pure App introduces a scoring system for plogging, allowing users to compare and compete with friends. Additionally, it supports online team plogging to foster group competition and motivation.

The project, which commenced in October 2019 and concluded in February 2020 in Shenzhen, involved extensive user interviews, needs analysis, and design phases, utilizing tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and Adobe Experience Design. Overcoming the challenge of exploring the feasibility of the app, Zhu and her team conducted deep contextual interviews and user experience evaluations to ensure its practicality.

Jiaying Zhu, a graduate student with a passion for interaction design and user experience, is dedicated to using design for public welfare purposes. Her innovative Pure App Interface Design not only promotes a healthy lifestyle but also contributes to environmental conservation, making it a deserving recipient of the Bronze A' Design Award.
