Pure1 Service Experience: Simplifying Cloud Service Subscription

Pure1, a leading cloud SaaS software, has unveiled the Pure1 Service Experience, designed to streamline the process of subscribing to Pure Storage services. This innovative digital journey simplifies discovery, ordering, and tracking, making it as effortless as signing up for popular video streaming plans. The AI-assisted recommendations and two-click quote request feature set a new standard for ease of use in the B2B IT services industry.

The design process began with wireframes in Figma, evolving through stakeholder reviews and user feedback into polished comps and interactive prototypes. The development team utilized Bootstrap, AngularJS, and Pure1 CSS libraries on the front end, along with a sophisticated stack of backend technologies such as AWS messaging services, MongoDB, and KairosDB.

The Pure1 Service Experience embodies a modular concept at its core, presenting each service as a card on a responsive grid that seamlessly adapts to various viewports. CSS animations and Lottie Files enhance the user experience, providing elegant navigation cues and delightful interactions.

Customers can explore a wide range of services in the Service Catalog, evaluate detailed pricing information, and request trials or quotes with just two clicks. The Order Tracker allows for real-time tracking of service requests and scheduling of professional services if needed.

This project was a collaborative effort between multidisciplinary teams at Pure Storage, with the initial release in January 2021. The design team conducted competitive benchmarking, internal reviews, and user validations to ensure a simple, self-guided customer experience. The release was followed by continuous monitoring of usage via Google Analytics to fine-tune the design.

Steven, the Principal Head UX Designer at Pure, led the project, ensuring the design followed the new branding language harmoniously. The Pure1 Service Experience has been recognized with the Silver A' Design Award in 2021, showcasing outstanding expertise and innovation in website and web design.
