FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Chih-Kang Chu's "Blessing from the Sea" is a remarkable installation art piece that captures the essence of the powerful chinook wind, known as Lou Shan Feng, in the Hengchun Peninsula, Pingtung. The art piece, exhibited at the Luo Shan Feng Art Festival, features a church rising from the sea, allowing visitors to experience the wind and the sea in a unique way.
Constructed with metal structure, metal panels, and fabric strips, the 490cm x 1000cm x 800cm installation art piece comes to life with the interaction of the wind and the sea. When the wind is calm, the church exudes tranquility, while during strong winds, the fabric strips dance wildly, portraying the dynamic nature of the wind.
Set against the backdrop of the beach and the sea, "Blessing from the Sea" creates an immersive experience, with the church's posture changing with the wind, showcasing the mood of the natural elements. The art piece was exhibited at the Luo Shan Feng Art Festival from 25th December 2021 to 1st March 2022, attracting thousands of visitors who marveled at the power of the wind and the beauty of nature.
