Co Ba Coffee Packaging Design

My Linh Mac introduces Co Ba Coffee, a new coffee start-up by Ms. Huong from Hoi An, Vietnam, aiming to bring Vietnamese food and coffee culture to the global stage. The brand's packaging design is inspired by the Vietnamese agricultural landscape, symbolizing the nostalgia of family bonds and cultural cohesion.

Co Ba Coffee stands out by highlighting the identity and creativity of Vietnamese culture, offering unique caffeinated beverages that break from French colonization coffee traditions. The brand's goal is to introduce the authentic and unique egg coffee, a part of Vietnamese culture for decades, to the rest of the world.

The packaging and stationeries are made with recyclable paper and polyester, reflecting the brand's commitment to sustainability. The coffee pouch dimensions are 3/8" x 2 1/2" x 13" inches.

My Linh Mac's design incorporates graphic design, visual communication, and illustration to create a modern packaging that appeals to coffee drinkers on-the-go, particularly targeting teenagers and young adults.

The project was realized from October 2019 to January 2020 in Chicago, IL, USA, with extensive research on Vietnamese food evolution through colonization and local folk culture. Despite the challenges of online communication due to different time zones, the project successfully captured the essence of Vietnamese coffee culture.
