Taiwan Power Company's "Light Up 13 Layer Remains" Project Sheds New Light on Historical Mining Site
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Taiwan Power Company has breathed new life into the historical mining site of "Shua Jin Jiu" with its innovative "Light Up 13 Layer Remains" project. The project, officially lit on the night of the Moon Festival on September 13, 2019, showcases the company's commitment to preserving cultural heritage and revitalizing polluted land through a large-scale public art initiative.
The "13 Layer Remains" lighting project integrates arts and cultural assets in the Shua Jin Jiu area, subverting the pollution control site classification of the "Shau Nan Dong Refinery." The project combines various noble causes with the care and aspirations of the local community, aiming to express the inclusive power of nature.
Utilizing advanced lighting technology, the project features 365 sets of luminaires with 15 different angles and wattages, illuminating the architectural landscape and highlighting the silhouette of the refinery. The lighting design team has meticulously orchestrated the dynamic lighting to align with the original design concept, ensuring that the light movement changes are in harmony with the inclusive power of nature.
The "Light Up 13 Layer Remains" project was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2021, recognizing its well-designed, practical, and innovative approach that meets professional and industrial requirements. This initiative not only showcases the rich cultural heritage of Taiwan but also serves as a testament to Taiwan Power Company's dedication to enhancing the public's quality of life and contributing to the island's economic development.
