Meghana Reddy's Allys coffee packaging, inspired by Balinese and Mexican cultures, offers a sustainable and visually captivating design, launched in South India in March 2020.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
When the brand approached Meghana Reddy with the concept, the goal was to create a unique design that reflects the essence of different cultures. The hand-painted illustrations of trees and vines from Bali and the sunset over Chichen Itza in Mexico adorn the packaging, staying faithful to the Balinese and Mexican styles with a minimalistic yet vibrant color palette.
What sets this product apart is the use of sustainable and reusable packaging, with illustrations hand-painted and printed on eco-friendly paper bags made from natural resources like seaweed and hemp. The 8 oz (0.5lb) coffee bags feature a one-way degassing valve, resealable zipper, and a flat bottom for better stability.
The flat-bottom coffee pouch bag includes a one-way degassing valve and a pull-tab zipper for easy operation. The bag's interior is made of high barrier three-layer lamination, ensuring freshness and safety. This project, which began in September 2019, was a successful launch in multiple stores across South India in March 2020.
Meghana Reddy's extensive research into Balinese and Mexican cultures, along with meticulous planning and design strategies, culminated in a visually striking and culturally authentic coffee packaging. The design, awarded Bronze in A' Packaging Design Award in 2022, exemplifies creativity and sustainability.
