Hypnoss: Reviving Italian Motorcycle DNA in a Floor Lamp

Parham Elahi Doust introduces Hypnoss, a floor lamp inspired by the rebellious spirit of Italian motorcycles. The lamp's design draws inspiration from the iconic Vespa advertising campaign of the 70s, symbolizing the liberation from societal conventions. Hypnoss breathes new life into the DNA of scrap Italian motorcycles, featuring a refurbished steering wheel with an odometer, offering a unique and storied design.

The lamp stands at 700mm x 300mm x 1150mm, and its construction involves three distinct parts. The refurbished steering wheel, with remapped wiring, serves as the shining centerpiece. The centric metal part, inspired by the original steering wheel, is crafted using CNC milling, while the tripod is made from high-grade beech wood, ensuring a seamless blend with any home decor.

Hypnoss operates as a stand lighting, with the ability to be turned on using the original motorcycle electric switch on the steering wheel. Its adjustable levels and rotational feature provide versatility in lighting arrangements.
