Discover the Contemporary Revitalization of Centuries-Old Ceramics Tradition
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Andrea Cingoli presents "Castelli di Ceramica," a modular ceramic vase that reimagines the traditional ceramics of Castelli in a modern and functional way. This multifunctional pot serves as a fruit bowl or container, combining beauty and practicality at the table, and transforms into a stunning piece of furniture when closed. Each piece is hand-decorated by the Maestri Ceramisti, showcasing timeless design and unique craftsmanship.
Modeling the kit can be done on a lathe or plaster mold, with final hand-painted decorations reflecting traditional themes of the Castelli tradition. The kit is available in different types of ceramic, fired at varying temperatures to suit different uses, including food use.
Standing at a height of 35 to 60 cm and a maximum diameter of 20 to 50 cm, "Castelli di Ceramica" offers a versatile and elegant addition to any home, combining centuries-old artistic tradition with contemporary lifestyle needs.
Andrea Cingoli, along with Giuseppe De Dominicis and Marco De Dominicis, has designed a product that seamlessly transitions from a decorative vase to a functional tableware kit, offering a perfect blend of aesthetics and usability. The project is based in Castelli, a village with a rich tradition in ceramics, and aims to bring the local production to sales channels within 12 months.
The project is deeply rooted in the cultural and productive identity of the territory, with a focus on reviving the local artisan tradition and creating employment opportunities. "Castelli di Ceramica" has been recognized with the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in 2021, celebrating its practical and innovative design that integrates industry best practices.
