Blend Design Unveils "Children Picture Books from China" Exhibition Visuals

Blend Design, a team of designers educated in Germany, unveiled their stunning exhibition visuals for "Children Picture Books from China" at the Frankfurt Book Fair. The exhibition showcased the ink painting of red and green dragonflies from various picture books, capturing the essence of Chinese culture and children's interest.

The exhibition featured 197 original works from 500 Chinese publishers, displaying the unique Chinese picture beauty on the international stage. The visuals highlighted the elegance in color, artistic conception, and oriental flavor, captivating the audience with a glimpse into the world of Chinese picture books.

The intricate details of Chinese ink painting were brought to life through high-quality production and paper, reflecting the level of ink absorption and natural ink-jet. The exhibition materials, including the LCD screen background color, showcased pure ivory white, exuding gentle oriental charm and intricate design characteristics.

Yonghong Ma, the concept and planning lead, along with Art Director Fang Ge and Illustrator Peilong Liang, meticulously planned the graphic and exhibition content information, achieving a seamless and visually captivating exhibition stand. The project, which started in Beijing in June 2016 and finished in Frankfurt in October 2016, has since been presented by Confucius Institutes and partners worldwide.

Blend Design's innovative approach to incorporating traditional Chinese ink paintings into the exhibition visuals overcame the challenge of balancing elegance with attention-grabbing elements. The use of ink points from paintings of Mr. Liang as abstract elements, along with intensified red and yellow saturation, created a visually striking and culturally rich display.
