Bo Wang's Reconstruct project aims to advocate the importance of re-connection among communities in the post-epidemic era through a set of thought-provoking posters.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Bo Wang's Reconstruct project is a set of posters designed to advocate the importance of re-connection among communities in the post-epidemic era. Inspired by Kandinskyâs research on points, lines, planes, and colors, the project aims to build a new bridge between thinking and vision. The posters were created using Adobe Illustrator, Affinity Designer, and Adobe After Effects software, and are normally printed in A2 size on Takeo Saigen paper, 200g. They are also produced for digital displays (1080 x 1800 px).
The set of posters features unique designs, each with a specific focus. The first poster uses graphic filling and stacking to represent an anxious person facing the epidemic. The second constructs a special box as a symbol of a camera, which documents the critical moment of changes. The third reconstructs the shape of Gambiered Canton Gauze Zongzi through lines and rectangles, symbolizing the connection between people.
These thought-provoking posters are designed for print production and digital purposes, aiming to arouse viewersâ interest and direct them to participate in activities and follow the official account of the organization to get more details. They are also transformed into animated graphics for digital promotional campaigns on social media.
Bo Wang, a graphic designer and freelancer from Foshan, China, embarked on the Reconstruct project in September 2021. The project is based on constructivism and Kandinskyâs Points and Lines to Plane, exploring the essence of substances through the study of the composition of the world and reconstructing a new way of perceiving the world. The challenge of this project was to find the principle of things and reconstruct a new way of perceiving the world using graphic design methods.
Bo Wang's Reconstruct project was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2022, recognizing its well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements. The project has successfully integrated industry best practices and competent technical characteristics, contributing to a better world.
