Crave is a revolutionary food mobile application designed by anjali srikanth, offering a personalized platform for culinary exploration and community building.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Crave is a mobile application that redefines the way users interact with food. It serves as a visual discovery engine, connecting users to desired recipes and restaurants while offering a seamless end-to-end food ordering experience. From chat-bot assistance to table reservations, Crave aims to inspire, explore, and create a thriving culinary community.
The application was realized through iterative design with Figma, utilizing Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator to develop graphic elements that evoke the emotional and visual identity of the application. Crave is designed for the iPhone X screen size, offering a vibrant and attractive interface with a pinboard-style photo grid layout.
The development and refinement of the Crave application spanned approximately five months, with a team of young design professionals based in San Francisco and Columbia, South Carolina. The project was inspired by the need for a consolidated food application that inspired users through visual discovery, while also providing the ability to reserve tables.
Extensive research across various food-related platforms, including visual discovery, food delivery, and cooking blogs, informed the design process. The team overcame creative, technical, and research challenges to create a hybrid application that is both familiar and unique in presentation and design.
Crave has been recognized with the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in 2020, acknowledging its well-designed, practical, and innovative approach that meets professional and industrial requirements.
