Maria Stylianaki's 314 Pi wine label design is a minimalistic approach to showcasing the characteristics of organic, sulfite-free wines, inspired by the endless sequence of pi.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Maria Stylianaki's 314 Pi project is a packaging design for a series of experimental, organic wines without sulfites. The label features a minimal and simple approach, resembling an Oenologist's notes tab, while the specialty of the wine is conveyed through green colors, emphasizing its natural and authentic qualities.
The label is made of textured matte paper with offset printing and extra gold hot foil, providing a tactile and visually appealing experience for the consumer.
The project, which started in October 2018 in Heraklion, Greece, was completed in December 2018, and the wines were introduced to the local and European market in early 2019.
Stylianaki's design was driven by the challenge of presenting the characteristics of wines without added sulfites in a clear and honest manner. The label aims to provide consumers with a quick and clear understanding of the wine's unique properties, reflecting the purity and simplicity of the product.
Deep Blue design, led by Maria Stylianaki, specializes in visual communication services and has been recognized for its innovative and marketable designs since 1999. The 314 Pi wine label design was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in 2020, showcasing outstanding expertise and innovation in packaging design.
