Part Timers Dignity: A Solution for a Better Work Environment
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
A team of designers, eun jee Kim, ji young Kwon, and jung beom Park, have developed the Part Timers Dignity app to address the challenges faced by part-time workers and employers. Inspired by their own experiences and extensive research, the app aims to improve the work environment for part-time workers and rectify loopholes in the existing part-time job system in Korea. The app was exhibited at the Kaywon College of Arts Design Exhibition and has been recognized with the prestigious Bronze A' Design Award in 2022.
The Part Timers Dignity app is designed to promote a better work environment with a focus on courtesy, responsibility, and respect. It features separate pages for employers and part-time workers, offering functionalities such as calculating hourly wages, checking contracts, and facilitating communication through individual and group chats. Additionally, the app provides information on relevant legislation and procedures through a chatbot, empowering users to address unreasonable situations effectively.
Developed using Adobe PS, AI, AE, and XD, the app incorporates graphics, characters, and video elements to enhance user experience. The design team conducted extensive research, integrating feedback from part-time workers and employers to ensure the app's effectiveness. The app's unique properties lie in its ability to create a smooth and clear relationship between employers and part-time workers, fostering confidence and dignity in the workplace.
