Beautiful Life Mothball Packaging by Pica Packaging Design Lab

Pica Packaging Design Lab, led by Shuwei Qi, has unveiled the Beautiful Life mothball packaging, a unique blend of traditional Chinese culture and modern design. The packaging aims to stand out in a market where products often look alike due to strict regulatory restrictions. The design features a calligraphic logo and decorative elements inspired by ancient Chinese paintings, evoking a sense of nostalgia and traditional Chinese culture.

The vintage-like brand incorporates peach flowers, an old lady, and an open window in the shape of a bat, symbolizing blessings in Chinese culture. To ensure preservation, the team designed split bags, providing a safer and cleaner user experience. The packaging is made using 8-color tinplate printing, carving on paper, and gilding, resulting in a visually stunning and culturally rich product.

Beautiful Life mothball packaging is a Bronze A' Design Award winner, recognized for its outstanding and creatively ingenious design that authentically incorporates experience and resourcefulness. The packaging not only meets regulatory requirements but also redefines the product, transforming it from a chemical pesticide into a beneficial ornament that resonates with consumers.
