Designer Linfeng Zhang has unveiled an innovative interactive projection design, merging traditional Chinese musical instruments with modern technology. The design, named the intelligent interactive experience design of Chime, aims to provide an engaging and educational experience for museum visitors.
The intelligent interactive experience design of Chime integrates interactive projection technology with traditional Chinese musical instruments, chimes, allowing visitors to strike the chimes and independently explore cultural knowledge. This approach revitalizes classical culture in a non-mandatory and entertaining manner, distinguishing it from conventional cultural relics exhibitions.
The hardware of the design includes projectors, radars, computers, and speakers. The projection size is 90cmÃ258cm, offering a captivating visual and auditory experience for the audience.
In the entire system, all flashing images can be interacted with, guiding the audience to play melodies and explore historical and cultural information. The project was completed in June 2021 and exhibited in mid-June, providing a unique and immersive experience for museum visitors.
Linfeng Zhang, a talented young designer from China, is currently studying service design at the Royal College of Art. His diverse background and innovative approach to design have earned him the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in the Cultural Heritage and Culture Industry Design category in 2022.
