doT & associates Unveils a Captivating Art Installation in Tainan City
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
doT & associates proudly presents "Crowd Gathering of Dots," an exceptional installation art piece located at Lake Shore Hotel in Tainan City, Taiwan. Completed in 2019, this 100 square meter artwork is a testament to the creativity and vision of the design team, led by Art Director Yvon Chiu, Design Director Hide Lin, and Designer Shau Chang.
The inspiration for this remarkable work stems from the migratory rhythm of life, akin to the changing seasons of a bird's journey. The installation, featuring handmade ceramic spheres with black glazed cells, captures the essence of warmth and belonging experienced by travelers at the hotel.
Utilizing specially crafted bronze and gold delicate feet, the installation creates a mesmerizing interplay of light and shadow, offering a unique visual experience for visitors. The meticulous planning and handcrafting of the ceramic balls ensure a harmonious and captivating display, reflecting the diverse nature of the hotel's guests.
doT & associates overcame various technical and creative challenges to bring this project to life, seamlessly integrating the installation into the hotel's marble walls. The result is a stunning portrayal of spatial tension and artistic expression, enriching the ambiance of the hotel's meeting area.
Recognized for its outstanding design, "Crowd Gathering of Dots" received the Bronze A' Design Award in the Fine Arts and Art Installation Design category in 2022. This prestigious accolade celebrates the innovative and imaginative approach taken by doT & associates, showcasing their commitment to enhancing the quality of life through art and design.
