Li Jiuzhou celebrates the 600th anniversary of the Temple of Heaven with a modern twist on traditional Chinese liquor packaging
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Renowned Chinese designer Li Jiuzhou has unveiled a stunning set of commemorative wine bottles to mark the 600th anniversary of the completion of the Temple of Heaven in Beijing, China. The design draws inspiration from the ancient Chinese concept of "round heaven and square earth," infusing modern expression with traditional symbolism.
The four bottles of commemorative wine are designed to reflect the "heaven diagram" from the book of changes, representing the virtues of kindness, propriety, loyalty, and integrity. The packaging features glass bottles with UV printing, complemented by alloy elements and a combination of paper and alloy for the outer packing material.
Measuring at Width 66mm x Depth 66mm x Height 260mm, the bottles are housed in a round outer packing with a diameter of 120mm and a height of 300mm. Additionally, the square suit measures Width 200mm x Depth 200mm x Height 360mm, adding a touch of elegance to the overall presentation.
Li Jiuzhou's innovative approach to this design project overcame the challenge of blending ancient traditional customs with modern international aesthetics, resulting in a product that pays homage to the rich history of the Temple of Heaven while appealing to contemporary sensibilities.
