YoonJe Yang's Clatoz project, an illustration series exhibited in Seoul Galleries from 2015 to 2020, expresses a blend of various emotions through color and patterns, providing a tool for conversation and introspection.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
YoonJe Yang's Clatoz project is a captivating illustration series that captures the modern atmosphere and people of Korea, depicting a range of emotions and societal reflections. The artwork, realized using mixed media, features patterns expressing the external and internal influences on human sensibility, drawing from sources such as human relationships, music, and movies.
The 24x17cm and 29.7x21 cm illustrations are a fusion of various psychologies, with the color psychology of passion in red and calm in blue playing a significant role. The use of dark shades symbolizes the complexity of human emotions and the unspoken aspects of individuals.
Despite the subjective and expressive nature of emotions, Clatoz serves as a tool for conversation and introspection. Exhibited in Seoul Galleries, this project has received the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in 2021, recognizing its innovative and well-designed approach that meets professional and industrial requirements.
