Blink: Smart Monitoring Device for Home Medical Testing

Belfug Sener's Blink is a revolutionary smart monitoring device designed to shift the experience of medical testing from hospitals to the comfort of one's home. It aims to streamline the process of receiving detailed health information, saving time, energy, and money.

Blink is a home medical device that enables patients to measure vital signs and perform basic medical tests in the convenience of their homes. It guides users through the data collection process and facilitates communication with physicians, ultimately enhancing the doctor-patient relationship.

Utilizing innovative technologies such as Viscoelastic Focusing (VEF), spot infrared thermometer, and oral fluid urinalysis testing, Blink produces reliable data for enhanced self-care and proactive health management. With its compact design, it measures blood pressure, body temperature, and facilitates blood, urine, and saliva tests.

The project commenced in February 2016 in Ankara and concluded in June 2016, being exhibited at the Science at Home Exhibition in Ankara and the Turkey Design Week Exhibition in Istanbul. Sener's meticulous research involved visits to biochemical labs, discussions with healthcare professionals, and user testing to ensure a seamless user experience.

Blink's impact extends to improving the quality of healthcare by empowering users to monitor their health, fostering a proactive attitude, and facilitating better communication with physicians. This innovative device has been recognized with the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in 2020, highlighting its practicality, innovation, and positive contribution to the world.
