PureHay Au-Yeung unveils "Five Samurai", a captivating digital mural painting, exhibited at Five Samurai - K11 Musea, Hong Kong
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PureHay Au-Yeung presents "Five Samurai", a digital mural painting inspired by the classic Japanese warriors, exhibited at Five Samurai - K11 Musea, Hong Kong. The artwork, created using Photoshop CC, measures 7253mm in width and 2228mm in height, capturing the essence of ancient Japan.
This unique illustration aims to transport diners into the world of samurais, offering an experience of tranquility and the beauty of traditional Japanese culture. The piece reflects the polarized and contradictory roles of samurais in Japanese society, portraying a vision of power, royalty, brutality, and elegance.
The project, which commenced in October 2021 and concluded in November 2021, required extensive research into Japanese traditional culture, samurai equipment, and the hierarchy of generals. Overcoming creative and technical challenges, the artwork successfully avoids symbolic meanings of blood and war, presenting the samurais in a relaxed and non-threatening pose.
PureHay Au-Yeung, a seasoned professional with over 13 years of experience in animation production and games pre-production, has received numerous accolades for his exceptional design and illustration work. Notably, "Five Samurai" was honored with the Iron A' Design Award in 2022, recognizing its practical and innovative design that meets professional and industrial requirements.
