FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Lightflakes for StarMicronics

Renowned designer Yuji Okitsu's "lightflakes" installation, a collaboration with StarMicronics, has transformed the entrance of the company's headquarters in Shizuoka, Japan. Comprising 53,900 meticulously assembled lenses, the installation embodies the corporate statement "Miniature Technology, Infinite World," reflecting the company's global presence and precision engineering prowess.

The unique installation, measuring w7755mm x d110mm x h3000mm, utilizes PET material for its recyclability, excellent light reflection, and transparency. The delicate lens art reconstructs light, creating large optical screens that interact with natural light, providing a one-of-a-kind experience for visitors.

Okitsu's "lightflakes" installation has been recognized with the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in 2021 for its innovative and practical approach, integrating industry best practices and competent technical characteristics.
