Liao Jin-Zhi, a graphic designer from Tainan, Taiwan, has revealed an innovative book cover design inspired by the vibrant and diverse world of algae ponds. The cover, titled "Interactive Algae Pond," features a unique combination of Chinese characters and translucent varnish-coated doodles, creating a watery reflection effect that immerses readers in the world of algae.
The cover, measuring 148mm in width and 210mm in height, is coated with spot varnish to emphasize the vivid effect and realistic texture, using neon yellow and greenish tones to bring the design to life.
Readers can engage with the cover through an interactive quiz designed on the inner cover, allowing them to match the correct names to the various types of algae depicted. This innovative approach aims to educate and entertain, offering a unique reading experience.
