Waycludi: Signage Hospital System

Małgorzata Sobocinska-Kiss's Waycludi is a revolutionary signage hospital system designed to address the specific needs of patients and staff at County Hospital in Pruszkow, Poland. The project, which commenced in January 2018 and concluded in February 2019, was meticulously crafted to enhance accessibility and navigation within the hospital building, particularly for individuals with reduced functionality.

The Waycludi system is distinguished by its adherence to the seven principles of universal design, ensuring that it caters to the diverse needs of all users. Through extensive research and surveys conducted among patients and hospital staff, Sobocinska-Kiss identified the critical requirements for effective wayfinding and information dissemination within the hospital environment.

Recognizing the importance of legibility and contrast, the Waycludi system incorporates specially designed icons and the unique Waykiss font to optimize visibility and comprehension. This dedication to inclusivity and functionality has earned Waycludi the prestigious Bronze A' Design Award in 2021, affirming its exceptional contribution to improving quality of life through innovative design.
