FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

E Yes: A Game-Changing Solution for Children's Amblyopia

Children's amblyopia, a prevalent issue affecting over 12 million children globally, inspired Chien-Chen Lai to create E Yes. The prime time for amblyopia treatment is before the age of eight, and E Yes aims to provide an engaging and effective solution for early vision therapy.

E Yes stands out with its unique approach, utilizing game-based modules to encourage visual zoom, dedicated eye muscle exercise, and color discrimination. The design incorporates AR transparencies and a vision test panel to make the therapy process interactive and child-friendly.

Utilizing PP (Polypropylene) Plastic Injection Moulding, E Yes ensures non-toxic and high temperature resistance properties, making it suitable for children's use. With dimensions of 180mm x 160mm x 100mm, it is designed to be ergonomic and comfortable for young users.

The project commenced in May 2020, completed product validation in December 2020, and received the International Design Award Silver Award in February 2021, showcasing its exceptional design and functionality.

Chien-Chen Lai, along with the design team, overcame various challenges in creating E Yes, including extensive research on existing amblyopia treatments and multiple experimental models to ensure practicality and child-friendliness. The design's innovative approach has garnered recognition, winning the prestigious A' Design Award in 2021.
