Heloise Rajkumari's "Humming Tree" is a unique fusion of dining table and floor vase, inspired by the Taro leaf, designed to bring nature into urban living spaces.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Humming Tree, a creation by Heloise Rajkumari, is a fusion of a dining table and a floor vase, inspired by the arrowhead shape of the Taro leaf. The design aims to bring the calming influence of nature into urban living spaces, allowing diners to experience the beauty of natural elements while they dine.
The table's unique leaf-inspired structure, split into two distinct "Skin and Bone" components, creates a see-through design that becomes apparent when the two components overlap. The elongated and deepened center spot of the leaf structure functions as a floor vase, allowing for the arrangement of tall dry or fresh flowers, leaves, and tree branches.
Measuring 1400mm x 950mm x 750mm, with a dining area of 1100mm x 950mm, the Humming Tree is made using polycarbonate and steel, combining aesthetics with functionality.
The design, winner of the Bronze A' Design Award in 2015, aims to combat the mental fatigue of city life by providing a connection to nature, offering a unique and innovative way to incorporate natural elements into the dining experience.
Heloise Rajkumari, a London-based product and architectural designer, is known for her nature-inspired designs that prioritize ergonomics and user experiences. Her work has been recognized for its creative ingenuity and contribution to improving quality of life.
