Centrestage 2023: A Sophisticated Platform for Fashion Designers

The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) presents the 8th edition of Centrestage, Asia's premier fashion event, featuring the innovative concept of Radiant Wellness. Held from 6th to 9th September 2023 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, Centrestage offers a sophisticated platform for fashion designers to share their unique vision, promote design trends, and launch fashion brands. The event draws 7,700 worldwide buyers, providing an immersive fashion show experience with mega-sized LED video walls and AI-generated models, captivating audiences and generating social media buzz.

The fairground spans over 11,000 sqm, divided into four distinct zones promoting fashion from all regions. The groundbreaking design includes a 2-story LED string curtain display, a 47m wide video wall, and an uplifted audio and lighting system, offering an unparalleled immersive show experience for over 600 guests. The event also features an exhibition hall with strategically designed booths, a mini parade, and a fashion presentation area, providing a comfortable browsing experience for attendees.

Utilizing AI technology, the event integrates AI-generated models with designers' collections, transforming traditional fashion shows with vibrant LED and visual effects to enhance creativity and spectacle. Overcoming unique challenges, the HKTDC creative department spent 5 months ensuring an exceptional execution of the event, resulting in Centrestage 2023 being awarded the Silver A' Design Award in 2024.
