Revolutionizing Goods Transportation in Warehouses

COS Conveyer Pro is a groundbreaking vehicle designed by Chien Yu-Chieh to address the challenges posed by the rapid rise of online shopping, which has led to a surge in packages requiring manual handling. The vehicle features an extendable and adjustable conveyor platform, enabling seamless transfer of goods between trucks with varying unloading heights, thereby streamlining the goods transfer process and improving overall efficiency in warehouses.

The COS Conveyer Pro system is equipped with a folding delivery area that extends based on vehicle distance and position, along with adjustable tire arms to accommodate different vehicle heights. This innovative design ensures adaptability to various work environments, reducing costs and enhancing efficiency in warehouses, factories, and logistics centers.

With main vehicle dimensions of approximately 100 cm platform height, 185 cm length, and 80 cm width, the COS Conveyer Pro is designed to optimize worker safety and overall efficiency in the goods transfer process. The vehicle utilizes lightweight, high-tensile strength thermoplastic carbon fiber composite material for its tires, enhancing seismic resistance to accommodate different weights of transported goods.

The COS Conveyer Pro system operates by verifying product inventory, guiding the positioning of incoming trucks, and utilizing modular intelligent carts to transport goods to shelves and distribution points, accelerating internal operational time and optimizing warehouse efficiency.

The project, which commenced in July 2022 and involved collaboration with KENDA RUBBER, culminated in the creation of a 1:4 scale vehicle model in late March. All processes were carried out in Taiwan, where Chien Yu-Chieh and the design team overcame various technical and research challenges to bring this innovative vehicle to life.

Chien Yu-Chieh, a student studying Industrial Design at the Ming Chi University of Technology, is passionate about creating innovative and functional consumer electronics. The COS Conveyer Pro has been recognized with the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in 2024, underscoring its practicality, innovation, and contribution to a better world.
