FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Yiyang Li's Scentwalk project is a conceptual brand exploring olfactory memory, aiming to extract and store memory in the form of smell, using olfactory memory to evoke emotional experiences. The project was realized using holographic silver foil technology to create a series of related products, instruments, and publicity posters.
The Scentwalk logo, representing the abbreviation of the brand, is designed to reflect the concept that gas is colorless but can cause emotional experiences. The project, started in November 2020 and finished in April 2021 in Hangzhou, was developed to comfort people's yearning for each other and the past.
Based on scientific research showing the profound nature of olfactory memory, Scentwalk aims to provide odor therapy for people in the future. The project's unique challenge was to express the sense of smell and collection through abstract geometry, resulting in a special experimental logo image system.
