The Forever Never and Ever (FNE) Film Festival, a Design System by Favie Chiu, Celebrates the Eccentricity of Miranda July's Films
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Forever Never and Ever (FNE) Film Festival, a conceptual initiative by designer Favie Chiu, is set to showcase the unique and offbeat films of award-winning filmmaker Miranda July. The festival design captures the quirky and unconventional style of July's work, combining visual elements that express both melancholy and vibrant colors, reflecting the central theme of transformation in her films.
Chiu's design, realized using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, and Figma, includes a range of products such as posters, subway ads, a schedule brochure, DVD film collection set, catalog, soundtrack USB, and a responsive website. The physical prototypes were meticulously crafted using clear matte acrylic, spray paints, and premium matte paper, resulting in a visually stunning and engaging festival experience.
The project, which began in 2016, culminated in the finalization of digital designs in 2024 in San Francisco, California. The festival design aims to engage audiences through both social and physical communication formats, offering a holistic experience for those attending the festival.
