Renowned sculptor Jason Yu-ting SHIH unveils "Turning," a captivating sculpture inspired by kinetic energy and the aesthetics of Futurism and Constructivism.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Renowned sculptor Jason Yu-ting SHIH introduces "Turning," a captivating sculpture that interprets kinetic energy and dynamics from the aesthetic context of Futurism and Constructivism. The sculpture embodies the beauty of dynamic energy, defying gravity and elegantly defying the laws of nature.
Constructed from cast stainless steel and coated with titanium, "Turning" measures L120 x W66 x H60 cm and weighs 45 kg. The design captures the invisible energy in the atmosphere, drifting along with the light rhythm, resembling a graceful dancer whirling and jumping in a serendipitous time and space.
Jason SHIH, a graduate of the School for American Crafts, Rochester Institute of Technology, and an Art Ph.D. holder from China Academy of Art, consistently engages in the areas of sculpture and public art. Based in Taoyuan City, Taiwan, Jason SHIH's work has been recognized with the prestigious Iron A' Design Award in 2024.
