Unique Pottery Artwork "Horn" Showcases Breakthrough in Design and Symbolism

Jin Ying Yei Tao Pottery Ltd unveils "Horn," an extraordinary pottery art installation in Luye Township, Taitung, Taiwan. Inspired by the local legend of deer and the hot air balloon event, "Horn" combines auspicious symbolism with innovative design, showcasing reverse spiral symmetry and a breakthrough in earthquake resistance.

The design team overcame technical challenges in the production process, including achieving a stable structure with one-piece molding and replicating the antler shape. The artwork, standing at approximately 450cm in height and 300cm in width, is a testament to the team's dedication to creating a unique and resilient piece.

The project, completed in July 2021, aims to redefine the public's interaction with pottery, breaking stereotypes and encouraging visitors to engage with the artwork, showcasing the hidden beauty of Luye Township beyond its popular hot air balloon tourism.

The design team's commitment to innovation and excellence has been recognized with the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in Fine Arts and Art Installation Design in 2023, highlighting the remarkable level of expertise and innovation demonstrated in the creation of "Horn."
