Introducing Happy Petty, a revolutionary pet cat food packaging design that combines fashion figures and art to create a unique and personalized product for cat lovers. The project, led by designer Heng Luo, started in Shenzhen in June 2021 and was completed in December 2022, aiming to convey the concept of coexistence between modern people and pets through innovative design.

Happy Petty is a groundbreaking pet cat food packaging design that breaks away from traditional norms. By infusing fashion figures and art into the packaging, the design aims to meet the evolving demands of pet owners who consider their pets as integral family members. With six unique character images corresponding to different types of cat food, Happy Petty caters to diverse preferences and reflects highly personalized character images and product packaging.
The unique fashion brand image created by Happy Petty conveys the aesthetic trend of pets and young people with a visual language, making it an interesting and distinct brand in the market. The use of bright colors and innovative design elements aims to attract consumers' attention and offer a refreshing alternative to conventional pet packaging.
Measuring at a width of 200mm, depth of 300mm, height of 330mm, and weighing 6.8kg, the technical specifications of Happy Petty demonstrate a meticulous approach to creating a visually appealing and functional product.
The project was a collaborative effort involving design director Luo Heng, illustrators Li Shuangshuang and Xiao Liping, as well as 3D designers Wan Shiwei and Wang Zhangjian. Their combined expertise and creativity were instrumental in overcoming the creative, technical, and research challenges associated with the project.
Happy Petty's recognition extends beyond its innovative design, as it was honored with the Bronze A' Design Award in 2023. This prestigious accolade acknowledges the design's outstanding creativity and ingenuity, highlighting its contribution to improving the quality of life through art, science, and technology.
