Xana Os: Redefining Mobile Operating Systems

Wahyu Rifo Prakoso introduces Xana Os, a revolutionary concept in UI design that aims to redefine the user experience on Android devices. Inspired by various mobile operating systems, Xana Os combines simplicity, enchantment, and engaging processes to create a unique digital experience for smartphone users.

The project provides a better and unique digital experience for smartphone users. XANA OS concept design was designed in a clean, simple, and intuitive experiences.

Utilizing Figma for UI design, Adobe Photoshop for presentation design, and Protopie for animation, Xana Os is optimized for any mobile Android devices with a screen size of 360 x 760 px.

This design is intended to be used in the same way as most mobile operating systems in general. However, XANA OS is designed with unique navigation that is easy to understand and learn. The aim is to enhance the user experience by providing a navigation gesture, a user-friendly interface, simplified, easy-to-understand icons, and great functionality.

Xana Os concept was started in November 2020 and finished in February 2021 in Indonesia. After a long-postponed period, the project continued again in early 2024 to improve its quality.

Xana Os employed a user-centered design process with inspiration drawn from various types of large mobile operating system designs. The challenge for this project was to combine the many existing custom UI design variations in mobile operating systems into the existing Xana Os designs. The project was awarded Iron in A' Mobile Technologies, Applications, and Software Design Award in 2024.
