Eunsoo Lee Unveils Dooo, a Robotic Arm Designed to Assist Single-Person Households in Daily Tasks
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Eunsoo Lee, a senior at Kookmin University, has unveiled Dooo, a groundbreaking robotic arm designed to assist single-person households in their daily tasks. Dooo is equipped with a Bluetooth speaker, lighting, and gripper, and stores three modules in the body: dust remover, dryer, and holder. The gripper serves as another eye and arm of the user, and the module combined to the arm becomes an object with limbs. This innovative design aims to address the challenges faced by individuals living alone, providing practical assistance in various activities.
Measuring 300mm(W) x 300mm(D) x 1400mm(H), Dooo can be manipulated through an app connection and voice commands with voice recognition technology, offering a seamless user experience. The project, which commenced in March 2022 and concluded in June 2022 at Kookmin University, was driven by extensive research into the needs of single-person households and the challenges they encounter in their daily lives. Lee's innovative approach and dedication to addressing these challenges have earned her the prestigious Bronze A' Design Award in Robotics, Automaton, and Automation Design in 2024.
Eunsoo Lee's vision for Dooo represents a significant step forward in the field of industrial design, showcasing her commitment to developing practical solutions that enhance the quality of life for individuals in modern living environments. As she continues to pursue her passion for product design, Lee's work exemplifies the intersection of art, science, design, and technology, contributing to meaningful improvements in daily life and earning recognition for its technical and creative excellence.
