Yichun Lin crafts a brand identity for Taichung Public Library, blending nature and civilization, reflecting the fusion of modern architecture with natural elements.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Yichun Lin, an acclaimed Taiwanese designer, has unveiled the brand identity for Taichung Public Library, drawing inspiration from the concept of "Library in the Park, Art Museum in the Forest." The design seamlessly integrates nature and civilization, symbolizing the Library's mission to harmonize modern architecture with natural surroundings.
The brand system features a logo inspired by books and the Chinese character "Chung," aligning with the Library's architectural appearance. The use of graphics in blocks, representing books and the Chinese character, reflects the Library's square design and emphasizes flexibility and stability.
All graphics were meticulously created using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, with the minimum size of the logo set at 35mm x 6.5mm. The wordmark can be customized for exterior signage and library merchandise, ensuring a consistent visual identity across various products and official documents.
