Introducing Trendi, a user-friendly mobile app designed to help people find and review local businesses, created by lead product designer Artur Konariev in Ukraine, Kyiv, starting in March 2022.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The inspiration for Trendi's design came from a desire to create an easy-to-use, intuitive, and visually appealing platform. The design team focused on creating a clean and modern interface that made it easy to find and discover businesses, read reviews, and leave feedback. They also incorporated social elements such as user profiles, check-ins, and photo sharing to enhance community and encourage user engagement.
The design focuses on providing an intuitive and user-friendly experience for consumers and business owners. It is clean, modern, and easy to navigate, showcasing relevant information such as business hours, ratings, and reviews. The key strength is its ability to balance the needs of different user groups, making it easy for consumers to find and discover new businesses and for business owners to showcase their products.
During the initial stages of the design process, the team utilized various ideation techniques, such as brainstorming sessions, mind mapping exercises, and interviews, to explore multiple creative ideas and identify key insights and user needs that informed the design direction. In the subsequent implementation phase, the team utilized Figma to create and refine digital prototypes, enabling them to iterate on design concepts and collaborate seamlessly with team members and stakeholders.
The mobile app is created for both IOS and Android platforms and is optimized for portrait mode. It features a responsive UX/UI design for mobile devices and follows a comprehensive approach to corporate identity design. The latest geolocation technologies, Bluetooth, mobile data, and Wi-Fi, were utilized in the application to locate the nearest food establishments. Artificial intelligence employs algorithms to search for relevant businesses based on the user's preferences.
Trendi is a platform that helps people find and review local businesses. The app is designed to be user-friendly and easy to navigate, allowing users to search for food establishments based on location, category, and other factors. Users can read reviews, view photos, leave feedback, and stream. The interaction on Trendi happens through a combination of user-generated content and technology. Users can create profiles, check-in at businesses, and leave reviews to help others make decisions.
The design research aimed at understanding user needs, preferences, and behavior toward the online review platform. The objectives were to identify the key factors influencing user engagement and loyalty towards Trendi and uncover potential pain points and areas for improvement. The insights and impacts of the research informed the design of several new features and enhancements to the platform, such as improved search algorithms, personalized recommendations, and a more streamlined UI.
The hardest part of the Trendi design activity was overcoming the challenge of balancing the needs of different user groups, such as business owners and consumers, while ensuring a seamless and enjoyable user experience for everyone. One obstacle encountered during the project's development was reconciling conflicting feedback from stakeholders and user groups. This required a lot of creative problem-solving and collaboration to find solutions that satisfied everyone's needs.
