Co-Grain: Redefining Cereal Packaging

Lide Ma introduces Co-Grain, a revolutionary cereal package that transforms into a bird feeder, promoting sustainability and human-bird symbiosis. The innovative design aims to reduce grain waste and support urban bird survival.

Co-Grain, made of high-strength kraft paper, is a sustainable solution that allows users to repurpose the packaging into a bird feeder, providing a practical and fun way to reduce waste and coexist with nature.

The project, which commenced in Hangzhou on January 2, 2023, addresses the impact of urbanization on birds and the coexistence of humans and urban birds. Through extensive research and user interviews, the design team identified a solution to utilize cereal packaging to address human cereal waste and promote urban bird survival.
