Distinctive Visual Identity and Integrated Event Branding for the 11th Innovation Competition in Istanbul

The 11th Innovation Competition, organized by Başakşehir Municipality and designed by Eda Elmaci, has received the prestigious Bronze A' Design Award in the Advertising, Marketing and Communication Design category for 2025. Taking place in Istanbul in December 2024, the event's visual identity drew inspiration from the story of Isaac Newton and the apple, symbolizing the spark of innovation. This concept was brought to life by merging the apple motif with circuit elements, forming a logo that reflects both technological advancement and creative discovery.

Elmaci's approach set the competition apart by seamlessly blending digital and print media to create a unified event atmosphere. The project included stage videos, animated backgrounds, and a digital NFT exhibition showcasing the winning projects. Social media visuals, web banners, and LED screen content amplified the event's reach, while printed materials such as posters, invitations, and award certificates ensured a tangible and professional presence. Every element was meticulously crafted to maintain consistency and engagement across all platforms.

Advanced production techniques played a key role in realizing the design. Industry-standard software like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects were used for digital content, while high-quality printing ensured clarity and vibrancy in physical materials. The integration of motion graphics and interactive digital elements, including the NFT exhibition, encouraged participant interaction and elevated the overall event experience. The project's research-driven approach explored current trends in digital art, technology, and audience engagement, resulting in a forward-thinking and memorable competition that highlights the importance of innovation in today's world.
