D Code, created by renowned Japanese designer Hikaru Deguchi, has been recognized with the Iron A' Design Award 2025 in the Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication category. This prestigious accolade celebrates D Code's innovative approach to visual communication, blending ancient Japanese symbolism with modern aesthetics. Inspired by the mystical Sacred Mizukuki Characters that appear on Lake Biwa, D Code unites the five great vowels-believed to be the source of all voices-into a single, harmonious form. The design is deeply rooted in the Yamato Ratio (1:1.414), a proportion revered in Japanese art and architecture for its embodiment of natural harmony and beauty.

Unlike conventional decorative symbols, D Code is conceived as an energy device that visualizes the unseen order of nature. Its three distinct modes-The Beauty of Silence, The Beauty of Quiet Determination, and The Beauty of Coexistence-are meticulously composed to awaken harmony and resonance within those who encounter it. The symbol's three-layered structure incorporates a white D-Code, a mandala of 25 sacred Mizukuki Characters, and a black D Code, reflecting the traditional Japanese concept of yin and yang. This intricate composition, realized through authentic Ukiyo-e techniques, ensures that even the invisible layers contribute to the symbol's power and meaning.
