FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
5 Senses Design, a leading creative studio from Shenzhen, China, has received the prestigious Silver A' Advertising, Marketing and Communication Design Award for its work on Tencent's 2021 intern recruitment campaign. The project, titled "Recruitment Communication," was commissioned to attract and engage university students and recent graduates, leveraging a blend of futuristic aesthetics, gamification, and dynamic 3D visuals to reinforce Tencent's innovative employer brand.
Inspired by Tencent's slogan, "Join Tencent. Impact the world," the campaign's main visual features a central figure symbolizing the candidate and a sphere representing the world, surrounded by ripples that illustrate the expanding influence of individuals in the digital era. The design process combined Photoshop, Illustrator, Cinema 4D, and After Effects to produce both static and animated assets, ensuring a seamless, multi-platform experience across WeChat, social media, websites, and large-format print.
The campaign's success is rooted in extensive research into recruitment trends and visual preferences among young job seekers. By integrating bold color palettes, dynamic layouts, and consistent digital branding, the project not only enhanced Tencent's appeal to tech-savvy talent but also delivered a clear and intuitive user experience. The campaign achieved remarkable engagement, garnering over 100,000 views and 1,000 positive comments, and set a new standard for recruitment communication in China's competitive tech industry.
The project overcame significant challenges, including the need for adaptable visuals across multiple Tencent business groups and departments within a tight timeline. The design team addressed technical hurdles in animation and interactivity, ensuring that the ripple effect and perspective shifts captivated users while maintaining fast load times and visual clarity. The end result is a cohesive, memorable brand experience that has strengthened Tencent's reputation as an employer of choice among the next generation of digital talent.
