FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Pablo Prada Granada's "Cyp" corporate identity project for Construcciones y Pavimentos (CyP) has been recognized with the prestigious Iron A' Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design Award for 2025. Developed in Bogota between April and June 2024, the design reimagines the company's brand by graphically representing its dual product lines-construction and pavement-while conveying a sense of security and reliability essential to its industry.
Inspired by the concept of balanced duality and the interplay of complementary forces, the identity draws from Yin-Yang principles to reflect the interdependence and transformation at the heart of CyP's business. The logo features a creative use of perspective and symmetry, with a distinctive dashed line separating two sides, symbolizing transformation. Chevron-like patterns and isometric architectural elements further reinforce the company's expertise in construction and pavement, while maintaining a modern, clean aesthetic.
The design process was rooted in a collaborative discovery phase, where client values and aspirations were explored through detailed questionnaires and iterative feedback. Multiple design alternatives were developed and refined, ensuring the final identity authentically captured CyP's vision for a refreshed, distinctive brand presence. The result is a flexible visual system, with vector-based source files that allow seamless adaptation across various media and applications, supporting the company's evolving communication needs.
CyP's new identity stands out for its thoughtful integration of form and function, successfully balancing the dual aspects of the business while remaining approachable and professional. This achievement was recognized by the A' Design Award jury, who praised the project for its innovation, practicality, and contribution to industry best practices.
