"Sound of Body" Installation Fuses Human Biology with Art and Technology for a Unique Sensory Experience

The project leverages sensors and Python-based algorithms to map heart rate and breathing to musical elements such as pitch and tempo, while custom visualizations display pulsating spheres and rotating patterns in real time. The result is a user-friendly, immersive installation that blends technology, art, and human physiology seamlessly.

Developed in Shenzhen, China, "Sound of Body" underwent extensive research and iterative testing to ensure both technical precision and emotional resonance. The project overcame challenges related to sensor accuracy, latency, and the integration of fluid, responsive visuals. User testing demonstrated that real-time sonification of biological data enhanced self-awareness, relaxation, and emotional engagement, with promising applications in art, therapy, and meditation.
