Dubai-based creative director Shadi Al Hroub has been recognized with the prestigious Iron A' Design Award 2025 for his Arcadia logo, designed for the Sayyida Ahad Al Busaidiyah Foundation in Oman. The award celebrates the logo's unique approach to visual storytelling, encapsulating the foundation's commitment to women, special needs, the environment, anti-bullying, and the disadvantaged through the symbolic Arcadia white flower. Each petal of the logo represents one of these pillars, reflecting the foundation's mission to nurture, empower, and inspire hope across diverse communities.
The Arcadia logo stands out for its minimalist yet meaningful design, blending aesthetic elegance with deep symbolism. The design process began in May 2022 and concluded in July 2022, involving extensive research into the Arcadia flower's cultural and emotional significance, as well as close collaboration with stakeholders to ensure the logo resonated with Her Majesty's vision. Crafted using vector-based software for maximum scalability, the logo employs a soft, natural color palette and a 1:1 aspect ratio, making it versatile for use across digital platforms, print materials, and merchandise.
Functioning as the foundation's central visual identity, the Arcadia logo appears on all communications, from websites and social media to brochures and event banners. Its five petals invite viewers to explore the foundation's multifaceted mission, fostering a deeper connection with its values of growth, hope, and empowerment. The design's adaptability and clarity ensure it remains impactful at any scale, while its symbolism encourages ongoing engagement with the foundation's work. This recognition by the A' Design Award underscores the logo's success in uniting form, function, and meaning to support positive change in Oman and beyond.
