L'atelier Fantasia's Idan Chiang Transforms Taipei City Apartment into a Neoclassical Gem
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
L'atelier Fantasia's Idan Chiang has unveiled "Jewelry Box," a stunning 275 square meter apartment interior in Taipei City, Taiwan. Inspired by ornamental earrings, the design embodies jewelry elements through special craftsmanship and organic lines, creating a luxurious yet warm and emotional residence. The space features irregular furnishings and furniture echoing the angular shape of jewelry, natural stone interpretations, and unique lighting inspired by the owner's travel memories. The design showcases a contemporary aesthetic, reinterpreting floral patterns through a modern and graphic perspective in a neoclassical form.
The project, which started in 2020 and finished in February 2021, presented challenges such as achieving a sapphire-like wall color. However, through meticulous experimentation, the desired deep sapphire color was achieved in the master bedroom. The design reflects the idea of living in harmony with nature, using favorite floral and mineral elements in jewelry design as the main concept. The space exudes vivid, gem-like colors and geometric lines, creating a refined residential space.
Idan Chiang, the Design Director and Founder of L'atelier Fantasia, leads with a strong philosophy of unifying various disciplines for the creation of elegant, contemporary style. With a background in sociology, she incorporates a unique perspective on exploring social trends and peopleâs needs into every project. This project has been recognized with an Iron A' Design Award in 2022, honoring its well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements.
