Pavomea Dessert Store, a Beijing-based artsy dessert brand, introduces its new branding concept, designed by Jansword Zhu, featuring a prism-inspired logo and panchromatic color scheme.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Pavomea Dessert Store, known for its artistic approach to dessert creation, has unveiled a new branding concept designed by Jansword Zhu. The logo, inspired by the concept of a prism, transforms into three modes to emphasize the play of light and shadow, showcasing a unique contrast of lines and shapes. The branding adopts a pure white color scheme to highlight its panchromatic feature.
The brand's inspiration draws from the work of German chromatist Goethe, who discovered the residue and developed the hexagon color chrome. This choice reflects the brand's commitment to combining artistic elements with culinary innovation.
The realization of the design involved the use of paper and acrylic structures for packaging and lamp design, respectively, adding a tactile and visual dimension to the brand's identity. The project, which commenced in September 2018 and concluded in December 2018, was based in Beijing.
Jansword Zhu, the Art Director, led the design team, which included Yuan Chang as the Account Manager, Zhang WenLiang for Space Design, and consultants Ricky Gao and Angela Zhou. The team overcame various creative, technical, and research challenges, particularly in controlling the quality of materials used.
The branding concept has been recognized with the Bronze A' Design Award in the Graphics, Illustration, and Visual Communication Design category in 2020. This accolade acknowledges the innovative and creative approach of the design, which integrates art, science, and technology to enhance the quality of life.
