Mincius - Handmade Glass Cup

Liu Siyu's Mincius cup is a stunning example of hand-made glass blowing technology, designed to integrate art, meditation, and functionality into daily utensils. The cup's unique feature is its ability to reveal a naturally formed heart shape when the liquid level is at different heights, creating a mesmerizing visual experience. The ergonomic design allows for comfortable handling, catering to individuals with different hand types.

Constructed from heat-resistant glass, the Mincius cup is not only a functional drinking vessel but also a piece of art that simulates the spiritual practice of rock stacking. Its design language draws inspiration from the connection between nature and daily life, offering a tool to expand the spirit through meditation and Zen.

Launched in Guangzhou, China, in March 2020, the Mincius cup was completed in October 2020 and made available for purchase online in December 2020. It has since been recognized with the Bronze A' Design Award for Fine Arts and Art Installation Design in 2021, celebrating its outstanding and creatively ingenious design that brings together art, science, and technology.
