Ting Han Chen's Funaging: Elderly Educational Service

Funaging, an educational brand in Taiwan, is transforming the landscape of smartphone app courses for the elderly. The project, led by Ting Han Chen, aims to empower the elderly by providing them with opportunities to maintain a social life and enjoy learning new things. The initiative addresses the challenges faced by the elderly in using LINE, a popular social app in Taiwan, for course registration, which is not optimized for their needs.

Through senior-centered service design thinking, the project identifies and addresses key user experience (UX) issues, resulting in a more fluent and effective service. By employing customer journey mapping and interface design, the project has successfully optimized the service workflow, UI elements, and graphic assets, as well as improved service logic and guidelines.

With a focus on inclusive and accessible design, the project has significantly reduced the percentage of elderly individuals requiring assistance during the registration process. The initiative not only enhances the educational experience for the elderly but also exemplifies the impact of design in addressing real-world challenges.
